Some news out of Steam world this week as it was announced a HuniePop 2 censored version will be coming to Steam. As you might remember, there have been a lot of inconsistencies in the Steam policies around censorship and nudity. Many different game developers were threatened with having their games removed due to nudity and other adult content.

Valve then sent out other letters saying that there would be no censorship on these games and the policy would become more hands-off. Even after that, some developers were reporting issues. Due to all of these censorship inconsistencies, the developer of HuniePop 2 has decided to release a censored version of the game on Steam. This game has not yet been released on Steam, but will be coming to Steam sometime within 2019. It is due to the inconsistencies with the Steam censorship policies that the developers behind HuniePop 2 have decided to release a censored version of the game. If you have never heard of HuniePop before, it is like a hybrid dating and match-three game, which does contain nudity and some sexual content. Valve has been pretty inconsistent when it comes to the censorship policies for Steam, and this has led to confusion among developers.

At first, there were several different game developers that were being threatened. They were threatened with removal from the Steam Store if they did not release censorship patches for their games. Valve then changed the Steam policy to say it would be more hands-off. The policy change said it would not police these types of adult games anymore.

3. This uncensor patch unlocks everything removed in the Steam version of the Sakura Dungeon game. The patch includes: 24+ CGs, extar events and level of clothing damage.

Even after Valve said it would be hands-off, some developers had issues when it came to trying to get their games published on Steam. The new Valve policy for Steam was only supposed to target illegal or trolling games. Even so, delopers say that some lewd content is still being targeted. HuniePop 2 Developers Announce Censored Version for Steam

In a series of tweets, the developers behind HuniePop 2 announced the decision for releasing a censored version of the game on Steam. On Twitter, the developers said that there will be a patch online to get the uncensored version. Just like with other games, this patch would be through a third-party.

The Twitter posts also have the developers saying shady things were going on with Valve. Most of the conversation was around these censorship inconsistencies on Steam. Even though there might be inconsistencies going on, the HuniePop 2 developers did give Valve credit. The developer was thankful to Valve for allowing these games and other games to be published at all.

So like stated by the developers in the Twitter posts, there will be an uncensored version of the game apparently. The third-party will likely be making a patch that gives you the uncensored version of the game. Valve has said before that this is okay to do. The publisher cannot link the uncensored patch in the Steam Store posting though. That means you will have to either go to the developer website to get the patch or find the third-party patch by just searching online.

There are many people who do not like to play the uncensored versions of games. One reason is that people have children around them who should not be seeing that type of adult content.
